Dating from the 19th century, the Inn is built from local Yorkshire stone and is surrounded by nine acres of mature deciduous woodland.

The Woodman Inn boasts the exceptionally good walking country of the southern Pennines nearby, as well as a fascinating choice of villages, towns and attractions a short drive away. By Road:
From the M1 exit at jct 39, follow the A636 through Denby Dale to the A629. Turn right past Shepley and look for the brown tourist sign. Turn left down Dam Hill. We are located on the left.

By Public Transport:
From Huddersfield bus station take the number 83 bus. Exit on the main road and walk down Dam Hill. The Woodman Inn is located on the left.
