Details
From the moment you turn off the A636 into 40 acres of secluded parkland, you know that this is somewhere special. Bagden Hall is a beautiful old house and garden - the perfect environment for you to totally relax. Centrally placed between Leeds and Sheffield, and just off the M1, we pride ourselves on an overwhelming sense of luxury, comfort and style.
Bagden Hall was built in the mid-19th century by a local mill owner as a residence for his family, whose portraits hang in the foyer, and it combines all the warmth, character and charm of a bygone age together with the luxuries and facilities expected of a modern hotel. Boasting magnificent lawns, superb landscaped gardens, well appointed individual rooms along with its own 9 hole golf course, Bagden Hall is the perfect venue for weddings, private functions, conferences and meetings.
We pride ourselves on quality and taste. Choose to dine in The Glendale Restaurant, with some of the finest cuisine, cooked from some of the very finest local produce or if you prefer a more informal setting, Pippins bistro offers an extensive menu. Both restaurants are accompanied by a carefully selected wine list, to complement your menu choice perfectly.

Directions
see location on Google maps.
Map reference: SE 245095
By Road:
Leave the M1 at jct 38 or 39 continue on this road, go straight over the next very small roundabout and through the Village of West Bretton you will eventually come to a large roundabout
At this roundabout turn left to join the A636, this is signposted ‘Denby Dale’
Follow this road for approximately 10 minutes travelling through the villages of Clayton West and then Scissett. As you are leaving Scissett village Bagden Hall is just round the bend on the left hand side. There is a signpost at the bottom of the driveway.
By Public Transport:
Take the X41 from Huddersfield Bus Station
If travelling on the M1 from the North leave the motorway at junction 39
Turn right at the roundabout and take the 3rd exit which is the A636 signposted ‘Denby Dale’
Do not now leave this road until you reach Bagden Hall
You will come to one large roundabout – go straight over continuing on the A636
Continue through the villages of Clayton West and then Scissett (speed camera). As you are leaving Scissett village Bagden Hall is just round the bend on the left hand side. There is a signpost at the bottom of the driveway.
If travelling from Huddersfield Centre
Leave Huddersfield on the A629 signposted Sheffield keep on this road for approximately 20/25 minutes
You will go through Waterloo, Kirkburton, Shelley & Shepley (at all times staying on the A629)
After travelling through the village of Shepley look out for a pub on the right hand side of the road (The Sovereign) and a BP garage on the left (The Sovereign Garage)
Turn left here to join the A635 – do not leave this road at any point. As you approach the village of Denby Dale just before reaching the viaduct the road actually becomes the A636 (you would have to actually take a right hand turn here to stay on the A635 – if you do this you will be on the wrong road) – continue underneath the viaduct and through the village of Denby Dale (speed cameras) and through a little residential area signposted Kitchenroyd. Bagden Hall is on the right hand side just as you are leaving Kitchenroyd and before you reach Scissett village)
We are then on the right up a driveway
