By Road:
From Huddersfield Ring Road take the A616. Stay on this road for approximately 4 miles, go through Brockholes and on leaving the village take a left turn onto Thurstonland Bank Road and continue up this steep hill into Thurstonland village. Follow the signs for Top o'th Bank Road. Ackroyd House is on the left where the road divides.
